OPENING MONDAY,
February 20, 2011
SILVER is my mother.
Amongst all the other creative projects she worked on, she was a
talented artist. Diane and Stephen are friends of
mine. Stephen is an artist and Diane owns RedHill BBQ,
located in Rancho Cucamonga on the corner of Foothill and Haven, which
I've traded with for years. When Diane and I were talking
about the opening of her gallery, I mentioned my mother's artwork that
she left our family (now my one brother and myself) and she was
interested. After our first meeting, she was convinced that
my mom was the artist she had to have in their new gallery.
The rest, as they say is history. For years when my mom painted, and
had a corner in her house stacked with paintings she found difficult to
part with, she often gave them away to friends of mine with me when I
was by her house. I recall having a conversation with her
that, after her death, I would take her art and do something with
it. I didn't know what and I didn't know when, but I knew
that would be a mission of mine. She always said, I hope you
do, won't be anything I can do with them then! I am so proud that it is
coming to fruition.
Premiering when the gallery opens, it's official Grand Opening to be
announced, will be the first showing of my mother's Stained Glass
Series, which consists of five paintings simulating stained
glass. Other paintings will follow over time.
I am very happy to be working with Diane and Stephen and proud to
finally show the world how talented my mother was. Some of
you may know that I often use my mother's images on some of my creative
products in my business, Kay's Creative Cards 'n Gifts. Now,
I am so pleased to be the agent for
THE SILVER ANGEL ART
COLLECTION.
Please feel free to stop by the gallery at your convenience if you live
in the area or are in the area. Enjoy fine art and have a
glass of wine while you're browsing. Their hours are 11 a.m to 8
p.m. As the Grand Opening may not be announced until after I
leave town for a few weeks, I wanted you to know that the gallery will
be open for business starting Monday, February 20, 2011. If
you do not live in the California area, and specifically this area, and
are interested, some of her works can be seen
on Silver's website
or
my website
and scoll down midway until you see the items that says Available 4
Sale. Other Giclée Prints are available by special
order. The website is being developed for purchase of
Silver's artwork.
